Kellands Central, based in Portishead, Bristol, provides Kellands’ offices and its IFA business partners support in three key areas: Compliance, T&C and Technology. It also provides a host of other support services, including business development, accountancy and administrative services.

Compliance is one of the key services provided. Kellands Central supplies a compliance manual with updates, carries out compliance audits, provides advisory support with the annual compliance plan, helps with FCA inspections and reports and also helps with complaints handling and capital adequacy maintenance issues.

Training and Competency: Kellands Central helps to ensure that Kellands offices meet the required regulatory needs. It helps with the preparation of the training and competency plan plus the annual review. It also helps with specific issues such as the initial assessment and induction training for new advisers, generic product knowledge assessments, reviews of business Key Performance Indicators, file/sales reviews, sales observation assessments, 1:1 adviser interviews, adviser risk assessment and gap analysis plus adviser development programmes.

Technology Services: Kellands Central operates a leading, centralised back office system for all aspects of client and portfolio management. Each office is linked into the system from its office or mobile location via a secure virtual private network. Expert advice and telephone support is offered on local IT issues, internet connectivity, choice of hardware, support and maintenance.

Kellands Central recognises that help is needed with actually running a business, and so provides assistance with all the key accountancy services. These include payroll, management accounts, cash book plus reconciliation, payment of suppliers, PAYE/NHI payments, assistance with budget preparation, liaison with the external auditors if required, plus help with company secretarial matters, taxation issues and P11D's.

Through the wide experience of the central service approach, Kellands Central can also provide guidance on other relevant issues such as the Consumer Credit Act, Data Protection as well as marketing and business development.
